Privacy notice

Behind the Source is run by Mike Street. This page explains what personal data the site collects and what happens to it.

Analytics

Page views are counted with GoatCounter, a privacy-friendly analytics service. It does not set cookies or track you across other sites, and it does not collect personal information. It records things like the page visited, the referring site, browser, screen size and an approximate country.

The site is served through Cloudflare, which processes your IP address and request details in order to deliver the pages and protect the site. Cloudflare Web Analytics is also used to measure page performance; it does not use cookies. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Newsletter

If you sign up to the newsletter, your email address is stored by Mailchimp and used only to send you Behind the Source updates. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask for your details to be removed at any time. See Mailchimp's privacy policy.

Emails

If you email behindthesource@mikestreety.co.uk, your name, email address and message are kept only for as long as needed to reply or arrange an episode.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to see, correct or delete any personal data held about you. Email behindthesource@mikestreety.co.uk and I'll sort it. If you're unhappy with how your data has been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
